How You Can Help
It’s Now or Never to Save the Trail! Make a contribution to support LEGAL ACTION TO PROTECT ENDANGERED SPECIES FROM THE PURPLE LINE. A coalition of groups and individuals, including Friends of the Capital Crescent Trail, on June 25 and July 22, 2014 filed Notices of Intent to sue for potential violations of federal and of Maryland endangered species law. We are now preparing court challenges including legal action to prevent the clear-cutting of trees on the Trail and in Rock Creek. Support this CRITICAL, TIME-SENSITIVE effort by donating online, or by making out a check to Friends of the Capital Crescent Trail specifying “Purple Line Legal Action” and mailing it to P.O. Box 5803, Bethesda MD 20824.
