“What List?” Prompts Purple Line Concerns

The Washington Post today reports that many Montgomery and Prince George’s County residents are angry that state transportation officials are actively suppressing opposition to the planned Purple Line by failing to provide updates on the hundreds of properties that the light rail project may condemn. The state claims that a recently released list of over 500 properties is two years old and has not been updated. But residents find that difficult, if not impossible to believe.

“We just want facts,” said Kathleen Samiy, president of the Seven Oaks – Evanswood Citizens Association. Read the full story in the Washington Post here.
