We applaud Governor Martin O’Malley’s proclamation of April as Environmental Education Month.

The Capital Crescent Trail is an oasis of nature in lower Montgomery County.

It provides boundless opportunities for children to experience the natural outdoors.

The mature hardwoods, vibrant flora and fauna and Chesapeake Bay headwater ecosystem is a treasure for children’s environmental education.

We ask that everyone who enjoys our endangered trail tell the Governor http://www.gov.state.md.us/mail/ and Secretary John R. Griffin jgriffin@dnr.state.md.us  of the Department of Natural Resources that we want the Capital Crescent Trail to remain a place where every student – and every Marylander – has access to nature and the opportunity to play and learn outdoors.
